Senior Session With A Glam Touch!

Posted on January 26, 2013      by Mili Walker Portraits

It's not a secret. I ADORE photographing high-school seniors. It's also one of the most challenging photography tasks. Those young ladies that walk trough my studio doors are young women. They are not kids anymore, they are not mature women neither. There are just in between and it's very important to capture that unique age. It's a wonderful game of capturing a woman they are going to become before their parents even blink their eyes and childhood they are ready to leave every minute. I love when my seniors choose to go with the glamour session and shower themselves with entire pampering...

I Am A Photographer And A Craft Woman?! I always dreamed to have amazing flowers and flower crowns for my high-school senior and glamour photo shoots, but it was never easy to find the perfect one. They were or too cheesy, or too poor or...well something was always missing. So, silly as I am, I decided to make my own flower crown! This is still a project in a making, it's time consuming but so enjoyable experience! So, how do you like my first flower crown? PS:Cannot wait to try it on a real photo shoot!

Going Shopping With Mom

As a new mother, I have to say that I truly enjoy my new role. It's everything I didn't expect to be! I didn't have idea that when you get a baby you can possibly feel so much love, I didn't have idea that you couldn't even imagine the rest of your life without that little angel, you wonder how you had a life before a baby at all. I also didn't know that once you get a baby, simple tasks like having a coffee or going shopping, buying groceries, taking a shower or having a chit chat with your friend can be a real challenge and sometimes even impossible. Pretty much, we do EVERYTHING with...

Father & Son After a quite some time, I finally had a chance to photograph men. Men don't naturally tend to have their portraits taken. In our society taking photos is something that "belongs to women" and I so don't agree with that! Everyone deserves to have a good portraits. Photographing this amazing family, I was determined to take a few photos of father and son and celebrate their wonderful relationship. Aren't hey 2 cool looking dudes?

The Curious Mind

Posted on November 5, 2012      by Mili Walker Portraits

As a youngster, like other kids, I had a very curious mind. I asked my parents some questions and some I’d try to figure out myself. My mother was my dictionary. I can’t count how many times, I’d ask her “Mom, what’s the meaning of ……..” . She says I started talking kind of late, but once I did, I couldn't stop asking questions and wonder about the world. I believe it was exhausting to give me an answer what is a bacteria, what is horoscope, to make me sure that no one is living on the Moon (but I was so sure that there is someone...) What about you and your kids? What...

The photo sessions I truly love are the one when I photograph other artists. Why? True artists are kind, good, creative and so much fun! This weekend I was honored to photograph my neighbour Michelle Qureshi. She is crazy talented!!! She makes very powerful music and she is among us, here in Carmel! So... if you own yoga studio, I deeply recommend to visit Michelle's website and check out her CD's for meditation and yoga. If you're a restaurant owner, at her website you'll find a plenty of amazing ambient music that will add additional charm to your space. We all know how music in a restaurant...

Falling In Fall

All things pumpkin.  Apple picking. The ability to take in a full, deep breath with ease.  The rustle of fallen leaves.  Fall festivals. But WHY we love autumn so much? As I decided to delve into the question a little more, though, I discovered the answer… the leaves.  Autumn leaves are like that little old man, sitting on his porch, telling his grandchildren about all the adventures he had throughout his life. Yes, autumn leaves...romantic, nostalgic and always so beautiful! Should I mention that awesome scenes are one of the most magical and thankful for photo shoots?
