Portrait photographer Mili Walker began her career at an early age in her home town and country of Sombor, Serbia. As a little girl, Mili would browse through the pages of popular fashion magazines, cutting out pictures of fashion models that caught her eye and taping them to her bedroom walls. This exercise helped Mili to develop an early eye for terrific portrait photography.

Mili begged her parents for a camera so that she could begin experimenting and attempting to mimic the images she had plastered all over her bedroom walls. Her wish eventually came true when Mom purchased Mili’s first camera on her birthday. Mili Walker’s early work with her new camera included many self-portraits, street photography and photographs of friends around the neighborhood.

As Mili grew older, her passion for photography increased exponentially, so did her portfolio of work. It wasn’t long before Mili became one of the most sought-after professional photographers in and around her home country of Serbia.  Her clients came from far and wide, including Belgrade, Novi Sad, Roma, and the UK.

Mili continued to define herself and her work by making the big decision to take her career to the United States, where in the winter of 2011, Mili landed in the great city of Chicago to begin her adventure as a professional portrait photographer in the U.S.

Mili met her husband, Brian, in Chicago and not long after their marriage proudly announced that they’d be having a baby. In preparation for the arrival of their new son, Jude, Mili and Brian decided to relocate to Carmel, Indiana to be near Brian’s family and to provide their new baby with a more relaxed environment.

So now, Serbian professional portrait photographer, Mili Walker, brings her unique talent to the wonderful city of Carmel, IN. Mili is primarily serving Carmel clients, but has also worked with individuals and families from Zionsville, Noblesville, Fishers and Indianapolis. Mili’s photography sessions take place in her Carmel studio, and in client’s homes when requested.
