Granted, this particular Black & White portrait is not for all my clients, but I think it perfectly illustrates the beauty of black and white portrait photography.

Black & White portraits, by their very nature, lend a softness and beautiful elegance to a photograph. While my work certainly includes a large portion of color portraits, my creative heart lies with black & white imagery.

It’s fascinating how when I sit down to do my post-production work after a shoot with a client, I find that some images I might otherwise discard come to life after I’ve experimented with converting them to black & white. And equally fascinating is how other images look truly lifeless in black & white, but when processed in color they pop right off the computer screen and ultimately the photography paper.

Here are several other examples of my portraits that simply look better in black and white.

My number one priority is to always astonish my clients with brilliant images from their photography shoot with me. One of the ways of achieving this is to deliver some breathtakingly beautiful black & white images, along with an assortment of gorgeous full color images, as well.
